One approach to solving problems and Continuous Improvement are using the approach of PDCA Cycle (Plan-Do-Check-Act).

Through this program, PQM Consultants equip employees to identify improvement opportunities, analyze the causes of problems and draw up improvement activities in the workplaces.

Problem Solving with PDCA

PDCA cycle that is in use in the troubleshooting process is also known as the deming cycle or recycle control
By using PDCA, we will:

  • Identify and analyze problems
  • Develop problem solving that can be done
  • Ensure that similar problems do not recur

Problem Solving & Decision Making

  • Understand the principles and concepts of PSDM
  • Being able to solve problems effectively and efficiently
  • Able to use problem-solving methods
  • Able mengidentifikasikasi root of the problem
  • Able to break down the problem

Practical Problem Solving

  • To understand the importance of “Problem Awareness”
  • To understand the principle and concept of practical problem solving (PPS)
  • To improve skill in investigation technique by using the 5-why methode
  • To help members solving problems effectively and efficiently

Problem Solving with PDCA

One form of Problem Solving Process is using PDCA cycle (PDCA Cycle). PDCA cycle is a series of troubleshooting steps, consisting of:

P : Plan (Makes planning)

D : Do (Implement what is planned)

C : Check (Check the results)

A: Act (Follow-up measures to prevent a recurrence of the same problem / seek opportunities for next improvement)

This method popularized by W. Edwards Deming and often used in Contionous Improvement activities

Problem Solving & Decision Making

  • The basic technique practical problem solving
  • Orientation think real place
  • Abnormality identification techniques (problem) and reduce the problem
  • Vital point review
  • Root cause investigation techniques
  • Temporary action and permanent action
  • Implementation at work / practical step problem solving exercises
  • Integrated manner using real case

Practical Problem Solving

  • Basic technique of problem solving
  • Genba mind orientation
